Team JAJO
''Team Brunel'' is a Volvo Ocean 65 yacht. She finished 3rd in the 2017–18 Volvo Ocean Race skippered by Bouwe Bekking and navigated by Andrew Cape. She finished second in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race, also skippered by Bouwe Bekking. The team is backed by Dutch project management company Brunel International, and sponsored by ACE, Abel Sensors and Embrace Tech Startups. Brunel International are Volvo Ocean Race veterans, having had their first involvement in 1997-98. For the 2023 The Ocean Race she was renamed Team JAJO. Volvo Ocean 65
The Volvo Ocean 65 is a class of monohull racing yachts. It is the successor to the Volvo Open 70 yacht used in past editions of the Volvo Ocean Race. It was announced at a conference in Lorient, France, during a stopover in the 2011–12 Volvo Ocean Race. The yacht was used for the 2014–2015 and the 2017–2018 editions and is planned to be used for the 2023 edition. The 2014–2015 Volvo Ocean Race was the first one-design event. Design The yacht was designed, by Farr Yacht Design, to be a cheaper and safer alternative to the expensive and fragile Volvo Open 70. SIMBAD (the Set of Identifications, Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) is an astronomical database of objects beyond the Solar System. It is maintained by the Centre de données astronomiques de Strasbourg (CDS), France.
