Tea Banh
Tea Banh ( km, ទៀ បាញ់ ; born 5 November 1945) is a Cambodian politician who is the current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for National Defence of Cambodia. He is a former general and a member of the Cambodian People's Party and was elected to represent Siem Reap Province in the National Assembly of Cambodia in the 2003 elections. Personal life Banh, whose birth name was "Tea Sangvan" later changed to Thai name, Sangvan Hin-kling ( th, สังวาลย์ หินกลิ้ง) and "Tea Banh" in last, is of Sino-Thai descent. His father, a Thai-Chinese, was named Tea Toek ( th, เต็ก; ) and his mother Nou Peng Chenda ( th, หนู เพ่งจินดา; ), was an ethnic Thai. National Assembly Of Cambodia
The National Assembly ( km, រដ្ឋសភា, ) is one of the two houses (chambers) of the Parliament of Cambodia. It is referred to as the lower house, with the Senate being referred to as the upper house. The National Assembly is an elected body consisting of 125 members known as Members of Parliament (MPs). Members are elected for five-year terms by party-list proportional representation, using provinces as constituencies of 1 to 18 members, and the D'Hondt method of seat distribution. A political party must secure 63 seats to obtain and preserve a majority. The National Assembly is headed by the President, currently Heng Samrin. Royal Cambodian Army
The Royal Cambodian Army ( km, កងទ័ពជើងគោក, ) is a part of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. It has ground forces which numbered 85,000 divided into eleven divisions of infantry, with integrated armour and artillery support. French Protectorate Of Cambodia
The French protectorate of Cambodia ( km, ប្រទេសកម្ពុជាក្រោមអាណាព្យាបាលបារាំង; french: Protectorat français du Cambodge) refers to the Kingdom of Cambodia when it was a French protectorate within French Indochina, a collection of Southeast Asian protectorates within the French Colonial Empire. The protectorate was established in 1863 when the Cambodian King Norodom requested the establishment of a French protectorate over his country, meanwhile Siam (modern Thailand) renounced suzerainty over Cambodia and officially recognised the French protectorate on Cambodia.
