Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Felipe Gil
Felipe Gil, also known by his nickname El Charro was a Mexican singer and songwriter of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. He was born in Misantla, Veracruz, in 1913, into a family of musicians and he studied the music of the area. He worked for a time with Álvaro Ancona and in 1936 they were joined by Chucho Navarro, Jesús "Chucho" Navarro, forming the group El Charro Gil y Sus Caporales. In 1940 Ancona was replaced by Felipe's brother Alfredo Gil. They disbanded in 1944, when Chucho Navarro and Alfredo Gil left the group to form the Los Panchos, Trío Los Panchos with Hernando Avilés. In 1939, Felipe Gil married the Mexican American vocalist Eva Garza after they met during Garza's concert tour in Juarez, Mexico. The pair later relocated to New York City, where they eventually raised three children before divorcing in 1953. Enrique Segoviano
Enrique Segoviano (born December 6, 1944, La Romana, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican people (Dominican Republic), Dominican-born Mexican people, Mexican television producer and director. He is best known as director of Chespirito's various 1970s television series as well as for producing and directing the late 1980s-early 1990s variety series ''Anabel Ferreira, Anabel.'' Biography Segoviano began his career on-camera, in the 1966 movie ''Primer dia de clases.'' When Television Independiente de Mexico began in 1969, Segoviano was hired as a staff producer and director. There, he first met Roberto Gomez Bolaños while working on the series ''Sabado de la fortuna''. Then in 1970, Segoviano became director of the ''Chespirito'' television series.
