Tayon Fleet-Davis
Tayon Fleet-Davis (born November 19, 1998) is an American football running back for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL) and played college football at Maryland. Early life Tayon Fleet-Davis was born in Oxon Hill, Maryland. He was a running back for Potomac. College career On July 30, 2016, Fleet-Davis committed to the University of Maryland and enrolled on July 1, 2017. During his career at Maryland, Fleet-Davis rushed for 1,343 yards and 15 touchdowns. During the 2021 season, Davis was named a redshirt. After the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl, Davis declared for the 2022 NFL Draft. The Maryland Terrapins football team represents the University of Maryland, College Park in the sport of American football. The Terrapins compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and the Big Ten Conference. The Terrapins joined the Big Ten Conference on July 1, 2014, following 62 years in the Atlantic Coast Conference as a founding member. Mike Locksley is the head coach of the Terrapins. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
