Taylor Tran
Taylor Tran (born September 15, 1992 in Loma Linda, California) is an American-born former competitive ice dancer who competed for Lithuania with partner Saulius Ambrulevičius. Together, they are the 2015 Pavel Roman Memorial silver medalists and 2015 Lithuanian national champions. They qualified to the free dance at the 2017 European Championships. Career Tran began learning to skate in 1998. She began a partnership with Samuel Kaplun in July 2012. The two finished 13th in senior ice dancing at the 2013 U.S. Championships. Partnership with Ambrulevičius Around July 2014, Tran teamed up with Lithuania's Saulius Ambrulevičius, who had decided to switch from single skating. They elected to represent Lithuania and made their international debut at the Tallinn Trophy in December 2014. Short Dance
The short dance (SD) was the first segment of an ice dancing competition from the 2010–2011 to the 2017–2018 seasons. It was approved in June 2010 by the International Skating Union (ISU). It merged the original dance (OD) and compulsory dance (CD), which were both discontinued. The ISU renamed the short dance to the rhythm dance (RD) in 2018. The SD was composed of two parts: the pattern dance (formerly known as the compulsory dance), which lasted about one minute and could be placed anywhere in the SD, and the creative section, which took up most of the SD. The pattern dance changed each year, and was announced beforehand by the ISU. The ISU also published yearly rule changes. The 2014–15 figure skating season began on July 1, 2014, and ended on June 30, 2015. During this season, elite skaters competed at the ISU Championship level in the 2015 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Other elite events included the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final, and the inaugural ISU Challenger Series. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. "Non, je ne regrette rien" (, Piaf's pronunciation , meaning "No, I do not regret anything") is a French song composed in 1956 by Charles Dumont, with lyrics by Michel Vaucaire. Édith Piaf's 1960 recording spent seven weeks atop the French Singles & Airplay Reviews chart. Background The song's composer, Charles Dumont, states in the book ''Édith Piaf, Opinions publiques'', by Bernard Marchois (TF1 Editions 1995), that Michel Vaucaire's original title was "Non, je ne trouverai rien" (No, I will not find anything) and that the song was meant for the French singer Rosalie Dubois.
