Taylor Garner
Taylor Garner (born 8 January 1994) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted to North Melbourne with pick 15 in the 2012 AFL national draft after playing for the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup and representing Victoria Country at the 2011 AFL Under 18 Championships. He made his debut in Round 20, 2013, against the Adelaide Crows. AFL career Garner debuted as a sub against Adelaide in round 20 of 2013. He made his first start in North's final game of that season against Collingwood at the MCG. In a 2014 Nab Challenge fixture against Geelong at Kardinia Park, Garner suffered a debilitating hamstring injury. Dandenong Stingrays
The Dandenong Southern Stingrays are an Australian rules football team in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition. 1992 saw the birth of the Southern Stingrays, developed under the leadership of Steve Kennedy (Regional Manager) and Ron Roach (Promotions Manager) with its home base located at Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Mordialloc, Victoria, Mordialloc. The side is coached in the inaugural year by Peter Russo. In 1995 the club moved from Mordialloc to Dandenong, Victoria, Dandenong and it also changed its name to the Dandenong Southern Stingrays. The club is currently under the leadership of Darren Flanigan (Region Talent Manager) and Matthew Crozier (Female Talent Coordinator) with the home base located at Shepley Oval, Dandenong. Lindsay Thomas (born 29 February 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne and Port Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Drafted by the Kangaroos in the fourth round of the 2006 AFL Draft from the Port Adelaide Magpies, Thomas made impressive performance by kicking four goals in his first pre-season game against Collingwood in the NAB Cup at Carrara Oval. Thomas made his AFL debut in Round 1 of the 2007 season, scoring no goals but five behinds in a loss against Collingwood. In 2010 Thomas led North Melbourne's goalkicking with 29 goals which included 7 against Carlton in Round 12. The 2011 season was not a successful season for Thomas. 2021 AFL Season
The 2021 AFL season was the 125th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 18 March until 25 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The season was played during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and saw disruptions but to a much lesser extent than the 2020 season. Virus outbreaks resulted in restrictions on crowds and the relocation of forty games outside their originally fixtured states, but the season was played without suspension and with only minor disruptions to the scheduled dates of matches. Subiaco Oval (; nicknamed Subi) was a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia, located in the suburb of Subiaco. It was opened in 1908 and closed in 2017 after the completion of the new Perth Stadium in Burswood. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019.
