Taylor Gang Entertainment is an American entertainment company. Co-founded by rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2008, it operates as an independent record label, music management, music production and film company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The record label is home to artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Berner (rapper), Berner, and Juicy J who serves as A&R for the label. TM88 is a producer for the label. The company is currently headquartered at ID Labs, Pittsburgh, PA. History The Taylor Gang was originally coined in 2006 to refer to "Taylors" who are supporters of Wiz Khalifa. Taylor Gang Ent. was co-founded in 2008 by Khalifa. Cameron Jibril Thomaz (born September 8, 1987), better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He released his debut album, ''Show and Prove'', in 2006 and signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007. His Eurodance-influenced single " Say Yeah" received urban radio airplay, charting on the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Tracks charts in 2008, becoming his first minor hit. Thomaz parted with Warner Bros. and released his second album, ''Deal or No Deal'', in November 2009. Skate, also known as Skate Maloley and Sk8 (born Nathan Montgomery Maloley on January 17, 1995), is an American rapper, songwriter, and music producer from Omaha, Nebraska. Early life Skate was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He is of Lebanese-American heritage. He has two siblings, Kaylan and Stewart. Growing up, Skate had a passion for sports and music. He played for the basketball team at Papillion-La Vista Senior High School in Papillion, Nebraska. Travon DaShawn Frank Smart (January 13, 1997 – June 18, 2018), better known by his stage name Jimmy Wopo, was an American rapper from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Wopo was an affiliate of fellow Pittsburgh-based rapper Wiz Khalifa and his Taylor Gang Entertainment, Taylor Gang imprint.
