Taxi (Romanian Band)
Taxi are a Romanian pop-rock band. Their sound is a mix of rock and contemporary pop, occasionally introducing other influences such as Nashville-style guitar licks. The band was founded on 13 March 1999 in Bucharest. Dan Teodorescu, songwriter, lead vocalist and the band's leader, first recruited Adrian Bortun, with whom he had previously played in Altceva ("Something Else"). Bortun recruited his former bandmate Andrei Bărbulescu from Sarmalele Reci ("The Cold ''Sarmale''"; '' sarmale'' are meat rolls with cabbage). Dan also recruited Georgică Pătrănoiu with whom he had also played before. The band represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song The Moon The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. Mălina Olinescu

"Tell Me Why" is a song recorded by Romanian singers Monica Anghel and Marcel Pavel. It was recorded at the Midi Sound Studio in Bucharest, and was released as a CD single in 2002 by Transglobal EMI. A ballad, "Tell Me Why" was written by Mirela Fugaru and produced by Ionel Tudor, containing a saxophone, guitar and keyboards in its instrumentation. Marcel Pavel (; born 4 December 1959, in Galați County) is a folk music singer in Romania. His singing talents brought him to the top of the Romanian charts more than once. In 2002, Marcel was elected as ''The best male voice''. His first hit was "Frumoasa mea" by Ovidiu Komornyc. His latest album is "Te vreau langa mine" (I want you near me). One of his songs: 'Unde esti?'(Where are you?) was chosen as the best song in 2001. In 2002, he won the national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest together with Monica Anghel. Their song "Tell me why" reached ninth place, the best score ever for Romania at that time. Monica Anghel (; born 1 June 1971 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian singer and television personality. In 1996, she took part in the international preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The Romanian song "Rugă pentru pacea lumii" was not chosen to go to the international final in Oslo. In the same year, she won the "Golden Stag Festival" for Romania. Anghel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, with Marcel Pavel. Their song " Tell Me Why" reached the 9th place, which was the third best score ever for Romania.
