Taupo AFC
Taupo is an amateur football club based in Taupō, New Zealand. It competes in the NRFL Southern Conference. History The club was founded as Taupo United in 1956. It was officially formed on 12 March 1956 after a meeting chaired by J. L. Burge at Rickit's Supper Room. Mr F. Howes was elected as the club's first president. Taupo played its first game on 14 April 1956 against Whakatāne, losing 3–4. The first game to be played in Taupo was on 16 June against the Crusaders of Rotorua, which ended in a nil-all draw. Taupo achieved its first win by defeating the Rotorua team, Caledonian United, at home with a score of 3–1 on 14 July. At the end of its first season, Taupo had played 17 competition and friendly games, winning four, drawing four, and losing nine, with 34 goals scored for and 18 against. Taupō
Taupō (), sometimes written Taupo, is a town on the north-eastern shore of Lake Taupō, New Zealand's largest lake, in the central North Island. It is the largest urban area of the Taupō District, and the second-largest urban area in the Waikato region, behind Hamilton. It has a population of Taupō was constituted as a borough in 1953. NRFL Conference
The Northern Regional Football League Conference, currently known as Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Conference for sponsorship reasons, is a New Zealand amateur football league. The league is run by the Auckland Football Federation and includes football clubs located in the northern part of the North Island, New Zealand. It is open to clubs from the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty provinces. Up until 2022, the competition was known as NRFL Division 2, and was not split into Northern and Southern competitions. The fixtures are played generally from April to September. Clubs are able to win promotion to NRFL Championship. The current champions as of the 2022 season are Hibiscus Coast. 2023 NRFL Leagues
The 2023 NRFL Leagues was the 59th and 57th seasons respectively of the NRFL Championship and NRFL Conference, football competitions in New Zealand. Established in 1965, currently twelve teams compete in the Championship while 8 teams compete in the Northern and Southern sections of the Conference League. Northern League The Northern League sits above the two NRFL Divisions and is also overseen by Northern Region Football, despite being run by New Zealand Football as part of the New Zealand National League. Twelve teams competed in the league – the top ten teams from the previous season and the two teams promoted from the 2022 NRFL Division 1. The promoted teams are West Coast Rangers and Manurewa. This was both Manurewa's first season in the Northern League. West Coast have returned at the first time of asking after being relegated in 2021. The Chatham Cup is New Zealand's premier Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament in men's association football. It is held annually, with the final contested in September. 2001 Chatham Cup
The 2001 Chatham Cup was the 74th annual nationwide knockout football competition in New Zealand. Up to the last 16 of the competition, the cup was run in three regions (northern, central, and southern), with central and southern regions combining at the fourth round and an open draw from the quarter-finals on. National League teams received a bye until the Fourth Round. In all, 136 teams took part in the competition. Note: Different sources give different numberings for the rounds of the competition. Some record five rounds prior to the quarter-finals; others note a preliminary round followed by four full rounds. The former system is used in this article. Eastern Suburbs Association Football Club is a professional Association football club based in the suburb of Kohimarama in Auckland, New Zealand.
