Tattoo (1981 Film)
''Tattoo'' is a 1981 erotic thriller film directed by Bob Brooks and starring Bruce Dern and Maud Adams. It depicts the relationship between a fashion model and an eccentric tattoo artist that quickly turns sinister. Plot Tattoo artist Karl Kinsky (Dern) is approached to work with renowned photographer Halsey (Leonard Frey) on temporary tattoos for swimsuit models. Despite his misgivings, Kinsky agrees to participate after seeing photographs of one of the models, Maddy (Adams). Maddy arrives late to the photoshoot, but the two quickly bond when she expresses admiration for Kinsky's arm tattoos and recognizes their Japanese influence. Bob Brooks
Bob Brooks (26 December 1927 – September 2012) was an American film director, photographer and advertising creative. He created numerous advertising campaigns, directed several thousand TV commercials in the UK, US and Europe, and directed two feature films. Brooks was a founding partner of BFCS, an influential British film production company, and one of the founders of Design and Art Direction (D&AD). He was acclaimed within his lifetime, with numerous international awards. Early life After graduating Penn State University in 1950, Brooks arrived in New York in 1953 as an Efficiency Expert for the US Government. ''Maniac'' is a 1980 American psychological slasher film directed by William Lustig and written by C. A. Rosenberg. It stars Joe Spinell as Frank Zito, an Italian-American serial killer residing in New York City who murders and scalps young women. Spinell was also co-writer of the film. With a minuscule budget, many scenes in the film were shot guerrilla style. Originally considered an exploitation film, ''Maniac'' has since attained a cult following despite receiving polarized reviews. Glenn Klinton Spilsbury (born March 4, 1950) is an American former actor. His sole major acting credit is the film ''The Legend of the Lone Ranger'' (1981), in which he played the title role. Biography Spilsbury, descended from Latter-Day Saint (LDS) settlers in Mexico, spent much of his childhood in Arizona, where his father was a high school and college football coach. The Golden Raspberry Awards (also known as the Razzies and Razzie Awards) is a parody award show honoring the worst of cinematic under-achievements.
