Tatiana Belokonenko
Tatiana Belokonenko ( he, טטיאנה בלוקוננקו, rus, Татьяна Белоконенко) is a figurative art painter born in Odesa, Ukraine. A graduate of the Pedagogical College and Art Faculty of the Odesa Pedagogical University, Tatiana has been living in Haifa, Israel since 1999. Her first private exhibitions in Israel were held in Kibbutz Yagur. Tatiana is a member of the Israeli Painters Union, and since 2005 she is a member of the Society of Israeli Professional Painters. She was awarded the "People Of The Year 2006" by Israel Plus and is the winner of Limmud FSU 2010 Nobel's Festival. Grand Canyon (mall)
The Grand Canyon (Hebrew: גרנד קניון, literally "Grand Mall," a play on words with the actual Grand Canyon) is the largest shopping mall in northern Israel, located in the northern city of Haifa. It features 220 stores, of which approximately 80% are chain stores. Inside the mall there is also a spa, and a children's amusement park which closed in April 2014. The mall opens half an hour after sunset on Saturday out of respect for the Jewish Sabbath. However, some stores and restaurants are open on Saturdays. NEWSru.com was a Russian online news site, based in Moscow, which had a government-critical orientation. History NEWSru.com was originally launched in 2000 at the address ntv.ru. When the government took over the NTV network in 2000, with the network becoming part of OAO Gazprom Media, the site remained part of the media empire of former NTV owner, oligarch Vladimir Gusinsky. Yelena Bereznitskaya-Bruni replaced the initial Editor in Chief Igor Barchugov in 2001. In October 2002 the news site moved to another domain name, NEWSru.com and the original domain ntv.ru was transferred to the broadcasting company by mutual agreement. On May 31, 2021, the site announced it would discontinue its news reporting "for economic reasons, but ones caused specifically by the political situation in our country", but that the "entire archive accumulated over 21 years of work" would remain available. Limmud
Limmud is a British-Jewish educational charity which, in the UK, produces a large annual winter festival and several other regional events throughout the year on the theme of Jewish learning. Limmud is not affiliated to any strand of Judaism, stating "We have no part to play in the debates between/across denominations" in its mission statement. Limmud markets itself as open to "anyone interested in Jewish learning". The Limmud event in the UK has inspired a worldwide movement of Limmud groups, so the name 'Limmud' now refers both to the UK charity and the worldwide network (Limmud itself only operates in the UK). Yagur
Yagur ( he, יָגוּר) is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located on the northeastern slopes of Mount Carmel, about 9 km southeast of Haifa, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In it had a population of , making it one of the two largest kibbutzim in the country. History Yagur was founded in 1922 by a settlement group called ''Ahva'' ''(Brotherhood)''. Its name was taken from an Arab village called " Yajur" nearby. There is a site with a similar name ( Jagur) mentioned in the Book of Joshua 15:21, though it was located in territory belonging to the Tribe of Judah, far to the south.
