Tati West
Tati West is a constituency in the North-East District represented in the National Assembly of Botswana since 2019 by Simon Moabi a BDP MP. The constituency existed between 1965 and 1974, when it was replaced by North-East after two elections. It was restored in 2002 for the 2004 elections and acquired its current boundaries in 2012. Constituency profile In the 1965 and 1969 elections the constituency voted for the opposition BPP candidate, Kenneth Nkhwa. After its re-establishment in 2004, it has remained a generally marginal seat for the BDP, with BPP (later an UDC coalition member) as main challenger. Single-member District
A single-member district is an electoral district represented by a single officeholder. It contrasts with a multi-member district, which is represented by multiple officeholders. Kenneth Nkhwa
Kenneth Moesi Nkhwa (born 1927) is a Motswana politician. He was a member of the National Assembly of Botswana from its creation in 1965 until he lost reelection in 1989. He represented the North-West constituency as a member of the Botswana People's Party. Biography Kenneth Moesi Nkhwa was born in 1927. He completed his junior certificate at Tiger Kloof before serving with the British Colonial Forces in Egypt during World War II, and he then attended Tiger Kloof in South Africa to complete his education in 1948. He married Grace Ntombinkulu in 1958. Nkhwa joined the Bechuanaland People's Party in 1963, and he was made the party's South African Branch coordinator.
