Tata Textile Mills was a textile mills business of Tata Group, with its head office in Bombay. It consisted of four textile mills; namely, Central India Mills also popularly known as Empress Mills in Nagpur, the Svadeshi Mills in Bombay, the Tata Mills in Bombay, and the Advance Mills in Ahmedabad.Claude Markovits. National Textile Corporation is a central public sector undertaking under the ownership of Ministry of Textiles , Government of India It owns 23 working textile mills which produce yarn and fabric. The company was incorporated in April 1968. NTC had made a turnaround within a short span to emerge as a debt-free company with a highly competitive revival strategy. Apart from re-branding, NTC had developed a new marketing and corporate strategy that included revamping of all NTC stores and setting up of new stores. The Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) was a development finance institution under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India, part of the Department of Financial Services of the Ministry of Finance. Maharashtra State Textile Corporation (MSTC) is a limited company owned by Maharashtra State. It was established on 6 September 1966, having its head office at Mumbai. Their stated purpose was to take over ailing privately owned textile mills, which were being closed down and make those mills more productive and also to start new mills in industrially undeveloped parts of the state.
