Tarzana, The Wild Girl
''Tarzana, the Wild Girl'' ( it, Tarzana, sesso selvaggio) is a 1969 Italian adventure film written and directed by Guido Malatesta. Plot The granddaughter of Sir Donovan is believed dead with her mother, and father in a plane crash in the African jungle. Fifteen years later, vague reports arrive in Europe that a Kenyan tribe has elected a white woman as their queen, Tarzana (meaning 'strange woman' in Bantu), and Sir Donovan wants to believe she is his granddaughter. Guido Malatesta
Guido Malatesta (1919 – 14 June 1970), born in Gallarate, Italy, was a film director and screenwriter. He began working as a professional journalist. After he moved to Rome, he was drawn to cinema, as creator of treatments, then scriptwriter and assistant director, and finally becoming director in 1957 with the film ''The Billionaires''. He continued to make films until a few days before his death in 1970. He was known for his Peplum movies and having a simple fun style without being overdone by plot. His most popular of the present remains ''Colossus and the Headhunters'' and ''Fire Monsters Against the Son of Hercules''. The former is notable for having no monsters which went against the tradition of the sword and sandal genre as well as being the subject of a 1994 episode of the popular movie-mocking television show ''Mystery Science Theater 3000''. Raf Baldassarre
Raf Baldassarre (17 January 1932 - 11 January 1995) was an Italian film actor. Life and career Born Raffaele Baldassarre in Giurdignano, Lecce, Apulia, he started his career in the late 1950s, being cast in many peplum and adventure films, alternating between stereotypical roles of the young villain and the loyal friend of the protagonist. Following a fashion of the time for American-sounding stage names, in the second half of the 1960s he was credited "Ralph Baldwyn" or "Ralph Baldwin" in several Spaghetti Westerns. Baldassarre was active until mid-eighties, usually cast in supporting roles, and he occasionally also worked as a producer. A jungle girl (so-called, but usually adult woman) is an archetype or stock character, often used in popular fiction, of a female adventurer, superhero or even a damsel in distress living in a jungle or rainforest setting. An alternate depiction is a cave girl. Andrea Aureli
Andrea Aureli (5 March 1923 – 5 November 2007) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Terni, Aureli graduated from the Liceo classico in his hometown, then he enrolled the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, graduating in 1947. Since the early 1950s he began an intense career as a character actor, being often cast in roles of villains and antagonists. In genre films, he was sometimes credited with the stage name Andrew Ray. He was also active in television films and series. Aureli retired from acting in 1998 and died in Rome on 5 November 2007 at 84 years old. His son Marco is a camera operator and an occasional actor.
