August Matthias Hagen
August Matthias Hagen (23 February 1794 - 2 December 1878) was a Baltic German painter and graphic artist. He specialized in landscapes and cityscapes with figures. Life His father was a mill operator. Originally, he was apprenticed to be a carpenter but, while at a private boarding school, began to show some talent for drawing.
