Tarsus City Stadium ( tr, Tarsus Şehir Stadyumu), is a football stadium in Tarsus in Mersin Province, Turkey. It is operated by Directorate of Mersin Youth Services and Sports. It was completely renovated including the rebuilding of the covered stands. Tarsus İdman Yurdu football team play their home matches in the Tarsus City Stadium. Tarsus İdman Yurdu is a Turkish sports club based in Tarsus, Mersin, Tarsus. Founded in 1923, the Association football, football team plays at the Tarsus Şehir Stadium, which has a capacity of 4,189. Mersin Province
Mersin Province ( tr, ), formerly İçel Province ( tr, ), is a province in southern Turkey, on the Mediterranean coast between Antalya and Adana. The provincial capital and the biggest city in the province is Mersin, which is composed of four municipalities and district governorates: Akdeniz, Mezitli, Toroslar and Yenişehir. Football At The 2013 Mediterranean Games
Football at the 2013 Mediterranean Games took place between 19 and 27 June. The tournament was held at the Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium, and Tarsus City Stadium. The final was held at the Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium on 27 June. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to send their men's U-19 national teams. There was no women's tournament on this occasion. Participating nations Eight nations have applied to compete in men's tournament, four less than at the previous games. At least six nations competing is the requirement for tournament to be held. The 2013 Mediterranean Games ( tr, 2013 Akdeniz Oyunları), officially known as the XVII Mediterranean Games ( tr, XVII Akdeniz Oyunları) and commonly known as Mersin 2013, was an international multi-sport event held from 20 to 30 June 2013 in Mersin, Turkey. Mersin was announced as the host city at the General Assembly of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM) on 23 February 2011. Mersin is the second city in Turkey after İzmir to host the Mediterranean Games. All 24 member National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the ICMG participated in the Games. The official programme for the Games is featuring events in 27 different sports. The 2015 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualifying competition was a women's under-17 football competition played in 2014 and 2015 to determine the seven teams joining Iceland, who qualified automatically as hosts, in the 2015 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship final tournament. A total of 43 UEFA member national teams entered the qualifying competition. Each match lasted 80 minutes, consisting of two halves of 40 minutes, with an interval of 15 minutes.
