Tarsis Humphreys
Tarsis Carvalho Humphreys (born November 4, 1983) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. He became a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Fabio Gurgel, the co-founder of the Alliance Jiu Jitsu Team. Humphreys was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is one of Alliance's heavy hitter Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitors. From 1998 to 2009 he won a medal in whichever Black Belt adult division he entered. He is the 2010 Medium Heavyweight Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and the champion of the inaugural World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Cup, at his weight and at the open division defeating Gracie Barra’s Braulio Estima. He is also a medalist at the last three BJJ World Championships. Humphreys is a veteran at ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship, ADCC. Demian Maia
Demian Maia (born 6 November 1977) is a Brazilian professional submission grappler and mixed martial artist. He competed in both the Welterweight and Middleweight divisions of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Maia is regarded as one of the greatest grapplers in MMA history. The ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship, is an international submission wrestling, submission grappling competition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). The inaugural tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1998. It has been held every two years since, except in 2021 due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Gracie Barra
Gracie Barra is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu association with over 800 schools on six continents. The organization was founded by Carlos Gracie, Jr. History Carlos Gracie Jr., who was born in 1956, grew up heavily influenced by his family, especially his father Carlos Gracie Sr. and his brother Rolls Gracie.
