Taron Margaryan
Taron Andraniki Margaryan ( arm, Տարոն Անդրանիկի Մարգարյան, born 17 April 1978, Yerevan) is a politician from Armenia. He was the 11th mayor of Yerevan from 2011 to 2018. Head of community and early career From 2001 to 2003, he worked as a leading specialist for Armenia's State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre in the territorial unit of Nor Nork, and later became the head of the department. In 2003, he was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Bioresources Management Agency. In 2005, he was elected at the age of 27 as head of the district of Avan in the city of Yerevan and was re-elected in 2008 for a second term. During Margaryan's two terms in office, the district of Avan was recognized by Armenia as the best district for two years in a row. Avetik Isahakyan Central Library, officially Yerevan Municipality “City Central Library after Avetik Isahakyan” communal non-commercial organization ''( hy, Երևանի Քաղաքապետարանի «Ավետիք Իսահակյանի անվան Կենտրոնական գրադարան» ՀՈԱԿ)'' is a public library in Yerevan, Armenia. The Chess Federation of Armenia ( hy, Հայաստանի շախմատի ֆեդերացիա), also known as the Armenian Chess Federation, is the governing chess organization in Armenia and is affiliated to FIDE. The body was founded in 1927. Andranik Ozanian, commonly known as General Andranik or simply Andranik;. Also spelled Antranik or Antranig 25 February 186531 August 1927), was an Armenian military commander and statesman, the best known '' fedayi'' and a key figure of the Armenian national liberation movement. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, he was one of the main Armenian leaders of military efforts for the independence of Armenia. He became active in an armed struggle against the Ottoman government and Kurdish irregulars in the late 1880s. Yerkrapah Volunteer Union ( hy, «Երկրապահ» կամավորական միություն, ԵԿՄ ''«Yerkrapah» kamavorakan miut'yun, YeKM'') or Yerkrapah Union of Veterans, meaning ''Defenders of the Land'', is an Armenian non-governmental group that consisted of 6,000 veterans of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, formed by Vazgen Sargsyan. The Yerkrapah is a large and influential veteran group. The Yerkrapah Union was actively involved in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, although after the death of Sargsyan, Yerkrapah's influence in Armenian politics began to decline. Andranik Nahapeti Margaryan ( hy, Անդրանիկ Նահապետի Մարգարյան; 12 June 1951 – 25 March 2007) served as the Prime Minister of Armenia from 12 May 2000, when the President appointed him, until his death on 25 March 2007. He was a member of the Republican Party of Armenia. He succeeded the Sargsyan brothers: Vazgen Sargsyan, who was murdered during the Armenian parliament shooting on 27 October 1999 and Aram Sargsyan, whom the President appointed a week later, but fired on 2 May 2000.
