Mikhail Tarkhanov (painter)
Mikhail Mikhailovich Tarkhanov (4 November 1888, Zinkiv, Zenkov, Poltava Governorate, Imperial Russia, modern Ukraine – 12 March 1962, Moscow, USSR) was a Russian and Soviet painter known for his "Picturesque Textured Improvisations", abstract water based textured compositions. He studied at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry where he graduated in 1915. After being called to the Russian army in 1916 and 1919 as an artist-topographer and draftsman, he entered the Vkhutemas, VKhUTEMAS, the Russian state art and technical school, in 1921. His teachers were Wassily Kandinsky, Vasili Kandinsky, Vladimir Favorsky and Nikolay Kupreyanov. Aleksandr Fyodorovich Tarkhanov (russian: Александр Фёдорович Тарханов; born 6 September 1954) is a Russian football coach and a former Soviet player. International career Tarkhanov made his debut for USSR on 28 November 1976 in a friendly against Argentina. He played in a 1982 FIFA World Cup qualifier, but was not selected for the final tournament squad. He also played in one qualifier for UEFA Euro 1984 The 1984 UEFA European Football Championship final tournament was held in France from 12 to 27 June 1984. Ivan Tarkhanov (painter)
Ivan Vasilievich Tarkhanov (1780-1848) was a Russian painter active during the nineteenth century. He was known for his provincial portraiture, with examples of his work appearing in a joint 2006 Hermitage Museum and Kaliningrad State Art Gallery exhibition on early 19th century portrait art. Two of his portraits, dated 1831, are currently held in the Yaroslavl Art Museum in Yaroslavl. The inscriptions on the back of both works, however, identify him as a registering clerk and resident of Uglich Uglich ( rus, У́глич, p=ˈuɡlʲɪtɕ) is a historic town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia, located on the Volga River. Ivan Tarkhanov (physiologist)
Ivan Romanovich Tarkhanov (russian: Иван Романович Тарханов) or Ivane Tarkhnishvili ( ka, ივანე რამაზის–ძე თარხნიშვილი, თარხან-მოურავი; June 1846 – September 1908) was a Georgian physiologist and science populariser from the Tarkhan-Mouravi noble family. He led the Department of Physiology at the Academy of Military Medicine from 1877 to 1895 and authored a slew of articles on physiology for the Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary. Among his numerous contributions was the discovery of the skin galvanic reflex (1889). However, Tarkhnishvili's most significant contribution was the discovery of the influence of X-rays on the central nervous system, animal behavior, the heart and circulation, and embryonic development (1896-1903). Mikhail Mikhaylovich Moskvin (russian: Михаил Михайлович Москвин, 19 September 1877, Moscow, Imperial Russia, — 18 August 1948, Moscow, USSR) was a Russian and Soviet stage actor and theatre director, better known by his stage name Mikhail Tarkhanov (Тарханов). Having made his stage debut in 1898 on stage the Ryazan Theatre, he performed in numerous troupes (including those led by Nikolai Sinelnikov and Vasily Kachalov) before joining the Moscow Art Theatre in 1922 where he soon became one of the leading actors and, in the late 1920s, a stage director. In 1935 he started to teach drama and in 1942-1948 was the head of Russian Academy of Theatre Arts. In 1937 Tarkhanov was awarded the prestigious People's Artist of the USSR title. He was the recipient on numerous high-profile Soviet state awards, including the Order of Lenin (1838, 1947) and the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1937) as well as the Stalin Prize laureate (1943, 1st Grade). ...
