Tarkan Gözübüyük
Tarkan Gözübüyük (born 15 July 1970) is the bass player of the Turkish heavy metal band Mezarkabul (known as Pentagram in Turkey). Biography Born in 1970 in Erzurum, he grew up in Bursa. His first encounter with the bass guitar was aged fourteen. Studied ''jazz'' at the Faculty of Music of Bilkent University, in Ankara. Before joining Mezarkabul, he performed as a Jazz bass guitarist and played in his high-school's main orchestra. He performed on stage with Mezarkabul during most of their concerts except their debut concert in 1987. After joining Mezarkabul, he worked on several other projects as a producer. As a producer, he contributed to the albums of famous Turkish rock artists like Şebnem Ferah, Özlem Tekin, Teoman, Demir Demirkan, Ogün Sanlısoy (the former vocalist of Mezarkabul) and bands like Knight Errant, Kül, Mor ve Ötesi and Athena (band). Teoman (singer)
Fazlı Teoman Yakupoğlu (born 20 November 1967) is a Turkish acoustic rock singer and songwriter. His biggest hits include ''Paramparça'', ''Senden Önce Senden Sonra'', ''17'' and ''Papatya''. On ''Papatya'', Turkish female rock singer Özlem Tekin features as backing vocals. Şebnem Ferah has also featured on a couple of Teoman's tracks. After studying business administration and mathematics at Boğaziçi University, he transferred to and graduated from the sociology department of the same university. He completed his graduate study on women studies at Istanbul University. His formal music career was first started in his first band ''Mirage'' in 1986. Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Ceza
Bilgin Özçalkan (; born 31 December 1976), also known by his stage name Ceza (, Turkish for 'punishment'), is a Turkish rapper and songwriter. Early works In 1995, Özçalkan started a group called U.C.S and performed with this group until about 1998. His group Nefret got signed under Hammer Music in 2000, and the album ''Meclis Ala – İstanbul'' was released. In 2001, Özçalkan proceeded to release the album ''Anahtar''. The title track on this album that holds the same name as the album itself was the first one that came with a music video. The album was a great success, and Özçalkan performed at many concerts from it. However, Özçalkan's big breakthrough came in 2004. He was invited to one of the biggest rock festivals in Turkey, namely RockIstanbul, and was asked to perform on stage there. Athena (band)
Athena is a rock/ska band from Istanbul, Turkey, founded by twin brothers Hakan Özoğuz (guitar and backing vocals) and Gökhan Özoğuz (lead vocals and guitar) in 1987. It is regarded as one of the best Turkish rock groups by many listeners. They have released 8 albums and featured as the Turkish entry to the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "For Real", finishing fourth. Mor ve ötesi (literally ''Purple and Beyond''; a play on the word '' morötesi'', meaning ultraviolet) is a Turkish alternative rock band from Istanbul. Its four current members are Harun Tekin (vocals and rhythm guitar), Kerem Kabadayı (drums), Burak Güven (bass) and Kerem Özyeğen (lead guitar). Former members include Alper Tekin (no relation to Harun) and Derin Esmer. The band achieved mainstream success with the release of the album ''Dünya Yalan Söylüyor''. A knight-errant (or knight errant) is a figure of medieval Chivalric romance, chivalric romance literature. Demir Demirkan () (born 12 August 1972) is a Turkish musician, Eurovision Song Contest winning composer, formerly guitarist for thrash metal band Mezarkabul. Demir Demirkan started playing music when he was 13 and played guitar with various groups in college. Demir Demirkan also wrote television jingles and composed soundtracks for television and films. Early life and influences Demirkan started playing music when he was 13 and played guitar with various groups in college. In 1990, Demir joined a heavy/rock group, Mezarkabul, based in Istanbul and wrote and played guitar in the group's second album, Trail Blazer. In 1992, he moved to Los Angeles where he studied with Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale and Paul Hanson who founded the MI-Musician's Institute.
