Tarita Teriipaia
Tarita Teriipaia (born 29 December 1941) is a French retired actress of French Polynesian and Chinese descent most famous for having been the third wife of actor Marlon Brando, whom she later divorced. For media and entertainment appearances and engagements, she has usually been billed as Tarita. Biography Born in Bora Bora, French Polynesia, she played Maimiti opposite Marlon Brando in the film ''Mutiny on the Bounty'' (1962), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She became Brando's third wife in 1962. She is the mother of two of Brando's children, a son, Simon Teihotu (born in 1963) and a daughter, Tarita Cheyenne (1970-1995). They divorced in 1972. Only months after Marlon Brando's death in 2004, Tarita published her memoirs titled ''Marlon, My Love and My Torment''. Tetiaroa ( French: ''Tetiaroa'') is an atoll in the Windward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas territorial collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean. Once the vacation spot for Tahitian royalty, the islets are under a 99-year lease contracted by Marlon Brando and are home to The Brando Resort. Geography Tetiaroa is administratively part of the commune of Arue, whose main part is in the northeastern part of Tahiti. The atoll is located north of Tahiti. The atoll has a total surface area of ; approximately of sand divided by 12 motus (islets) with varying surface areas. The lagoon is approximately wide and deep. The atoll has no reef opening, making access by boat nearly impossible. Anna Kashfi (born Joan O'Callaghan; 30 September 1934 – 16 August 2015) was a British film actress who had a brief Hollywood career in the 1950s but was better known for her tumultuous marriage to film star Marlon Brando and the controversies surrounding their son. ''Mutiny on the Bounty'' is a 1962 American Technicolor epic historical drama film released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, directed by Lewis Milestone and starring Marlon Brando, Trevor Howard, and Richard Harris.
