Tarikat is the reissue on double album CD, digitalized and mastered in Belgium, of the double cassette box Diez años de esplendor ( en, Ten years of splendor), recorded and released to commemorate de tenth anniversary of the band. Vinyl-on-demand label releases the 3LP box 1980-1989 / First decade, including a third LP with bonus tracks, studio and live, and a single record. There also exists a red 'friends edition' box set with golden imprints. Esplendor Geométrico
Esplendor Geométrico is a Spanish industrial band. The band was formed in the early 1980s by Arturo Lanz, Gabriel Riaza, and Juan Carlos Sastre, who had all been members of El Aviador Dro y sus Obreros Especializados. They took the name "Geometric Splendor" from ''Geometric and Mechanical Splendor and the Numerical Sensibility'' ( it, Lo splendore geometrico e meccanico e la sensibilità numerica), a text of the Italian futurist, F.T. Marinetti. History In 1981 the band released their first single, "Necrosis en la Poya", in the Tic Tac label, followed by their debut LP, ''Héroe del Trabajo / El Acero del Partido'' in 1982. The band was active in the early-eighties international tape scene where they established a rhythmic, experimental electronic sound that foreshadowed the emergence of the powernoise subgenre by over a decade. Industrial Music
Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. AllMusic defines industrial music as the "most abrasive and aggressive fusion of rock and electronic music" that was "initially a blend of avant-garde electronics experiments (tape music, musique concrète, white noise, synthesizers, sequencers, etc.) and punk provocation". The term was coined in the mid-1970s with the founding of Industrial Records by members of Throbbing Gristle and Monte Cazazza. ''Sheikh Aljama'' is an album by Spanish industrial band Esplendor Geométrico, recorded at Al-Majriti Studio in Melilla (Spain), and released as CD by Daft Records in Belgium. The title, meaning "Community’s Sheikh" in Arabic, was the official title for the first president of the Córdoban Republic after the fall of the caliphate.
