Tarik Saleh
Tarik Saleh ( ar, طارق صالح; born 28 January 1972) is a Swedish television producer, animator, publisher, journalist and film director. He was born in Högalids församling, Stockholm to a Swedish mother and an Egyptian father. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was one of Sweden's most prominent graffiti artists, including co-creating ''Fascinate''. He has also worked as a TV host for Sveriges Television and is one of the founders of production company Atmo. At the 53rd Guldbagge Awards, his film '' The Nile Hilton Incident'' won five awards, including Best Film. His film ''Boy from Heaven'' was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. His work often contains techniques such as montages, cut-out graphics and faces with manipulated lip synching. Stockholm International Film Festival
The Stockholm International Film Festival ( sv, Stockholms filmfestival, italic=no) is an annual film festival held in Stockholm, Sweden. It was launched in 1990 and has been held every year since then during the second half of November. The winning film in the international competition section is awarded the Bronze Horse (Bronshästen). At 7,3kg (16 lb) the Bronze Horse is the heaviest film award in the world. It is also a paraphrase on a national design icon, the Swedish Dala horse, and was created by artist Fredrik Swärd. Since its start the Stockholm International Film Festival has focused on supporting new talents through competitions and scholarships. ''Boy from Heaven'' (; released in North America as ''Cairo Conspiracy'') is a 2022 Arabic-language political thriller film directed by Swedish filmmaker Tarik Saleh. The film is a co-production between Sweden, France and Finland. The film had its world premiere on 20 May 2022 at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where it was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or. At Cannes, Saleh was awarded Best Screenplay and the film received the François Chalais Prize. Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson (born 18 March 1986), known as Lykke Li (), is a Swedish singer. Her music often blends elements of indie pop, dream pop and electronic. Cutout animation is a form of stop-motion animation using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or photographs. The props would be cut out and used as puppets for stop motion.
