Manuel Rodulfo Tardo
Manuel Rodulfo Tardo (February 18, 1913 in Pueblo Nuevo, Mantanzas Province, Cuba – December 22, 1998 in New York City) was a Cuban artist. Biography He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes "San Alejandro", Havana, Cuba, together with Juan Esnard Heydrich y José Francisco Cobos, and at The Sculpture Center, New York City. One of his mentors was the Cuban sculptor Juan José Sicre. He was a painter as well as a sculptor. He founded the Provincial School of Fine Arts (La Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Matanzas) with Rafael Soriano, José Felipe Núñez, Juan Esnard Heydrich and Roberto Juan Diago Querol and was elected five times as its Director. In musical terminology, tempo (Italian, 'time'; plural ''tempos'', or ''tempi'' from the Italian plural) is the speed or pace of a given piece. In classical music, tempo is typically indicated with an instruction at the start of a piece (often using conventional Italian terms) and is usually measured in beats per minute (or bpm). In modern classical compositions, a "metronome mark" in beats per minute may supplement or replace the normal tempo marking, while in modern genres like electronic dance music, tempo will typically simply be stated in BPM. Tempo may be separated from articulation and meter, or these aspects may be indicated along with tempo, all contributing to the overall texture. Richard Alan "Tardo" Hammer (born February 26, 1958, New York City) is an American jazz pianist. Hammer's mother is an amateur pianist.Gary W. Kennedy, "Tardo Hammer". A member of Bopera House starting in 1986, he shared leader duties in the group with John Marshall after 1988. He played with Vernel Fournier, George Coleman, Gary Bartz, C. Sharpe, Al Cohn, Harold Ashby, and Annie Ross in the 1990s.
