Tarald Brautaset
Tarald Osnes Brautaset (born 28 September 1946) is a Norwegian diplomat. He is a cand.polit. by education, and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973. He was a member of the Norwegian delegation to the European Union from 1988 to 1994, during the negotiations for Norwegian membership in the Union (which were stopped after the 1994 Norwegian European Union membership referendum) and then the European Economic Area. He then served as head of department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs until 1997, and as an advisor from 1997 to 2000 and 2005 to 2008. He was the Norwegian ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2000 to 2005 and later the ambassador to France from 2009 to 2014. Tarald Weisteen
Tarald Weisteen (29 July 1916 – 26 December 2009) was a Norwegian military officer. He was born in Norderhov. In 1945 he married Anne Margrethe Rørholt, and was thus brother-in-law of Bjørn Rørholt. During World War II he served as a pilot at the No. 331 Squadron RAF, and was decorated with the British Distinguished Flying Cross with Bar and the Norwegian St. Olav's Medal With Oak Branch. He was promoted to colonel in 1963, retiring in 1981. He was biographed by Cato Guhnfeldt Cato Guhnfeldt (born 18 May 1951) is a Norwegian journalist in ''Aftenposten'' and non-fiction writer of Second World War history. He lives in Bærum.
