Tarachand Barjatya
Tarachand Barjatya (10 May 1914 – 21 September 1992) was an Indian film producer. He has produced many Hindi films from the 1960s through to the 1980s. He founded Rajshri Productions which continues to produce films even today. His mainstay was family-oriented films based on family values. He was born in Kuchaman City in Rajasthan in a Marwari Jain Family in 1914. He studied at Vidyasagar College, Calcutta. He established Rajshri Pictures (P) Ltd. in 1947. Kuchaman City
Kuchaman City is a city council located, near Nagaur city in Nagaur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city includes a few Havelis in the Shekhawati style and a fort overlooking the city. Fresco paintings there depict flowers, motifs, and Hindu mythology. The local fort is a major tourist attraction and is also part of the route of Palace on Wheels. A few havelis have also opened their doors to the foreign guests, who visit during the winter. In 2006, part of the Bollywood movie ''Drona'', starring Abhishek Bachchan was shot at Kuchaman Fort. ''Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye'' () is a 1977 Hindi musical drama film. Produced by Tarachand Barjatya for Rajshri, the film is directed by Lekh Tandon. The film stars Prem Krishen, Rameshwari, Madan Puri, Jagdeep and Iftekhar. It was a surprise hit of the year and gave Madan Puri his most satisfactory film role. The music is by Ravindra Jain who also marked his singing debut with Achra Mein Phoolwa Leke song. The film has the same storyline as Tamasha (1952 film) and 1941 Hollywood film It Started with Eve.
