Tapuah Junction Stabbing (2013)
The 2013 Tapuah Junction stabbing occurred on 30 April, in which an armed Israeli settler, Evyatar Borovsky, was stabbed, disarmed and then, according to some witnesses, shot with his own weapon at a bus stop in the northern West Bank by a Palestinian resident of Tulkarem. The Israeli police described the attacker as a "Palestinian terrorist". The perpetrator was identified as Salam As'ad Zaghal, who had recently been released from 3.5 years in jail for planting explosives. Kfar Tapuach ( he, כְּפַר תַּפּוּחַ, ''lit.'', Apple-village) is an Orthodox Jewish Israeli settlement in the West Bank, founded in 1978. Evyatar () is an Israeli outpost in the West Bank located in a Palestinians, Palestinian rural area on Mount Sabih, in lands of the State of Palestine, Palestinian town of Beita, Nablus, Beita, south of Nablus. the settlement was in April 2013, and it was named after Evyatar Borovsky who was 2013 Tapuah Junction stabbing, murdered in a terror attack. The outpost has been destroyed several times by Israeli officials and it was built again rapidly in a few days in May 2021, before the Israeli military stopped the activities.
