Taplow United Football Club is a football club based in the village of Taplow, in the county of Buckinghamshire, England. They were founded in 1923 and offer football for boys and girls across all age groups from Under 7 to Under 18 plus 3 senior men's sides. The men's first team currently compete in the and play at the Stanley Jones Memorial Ground. History The football club was formed, by former pupils of Slough Secondary School in 1923 and were originally called ''Old Paludians''. In the 1994–95 season the club joined division one of the Chiltonian League. In 1998 the club then changed its name to Taplow United. In 2000 the Chiltonian league merged into the Hellenic Football League, but the club did not join the merged league and moved to the East Berkshire Football League instead. Taplow
Taplow is a village and civil parish in the Unitary Authority of Buckinghamshire, England. It sits on the left bank of the River Thames, facing Maidenhead in the neighbouring county of Berkshire, with Cippenham and Burnham to the east. It is the south-westernmost settlement in Buckinghamshire. The village features a Grade II listed mock-medieval church, the parish church of St Nicholas, as well as a school of the same name. The East Berkshire Football League is a football competition based in East Berkshire, England. The league has two divisions, headed by the Premier Division. The Premier Division was a feeder to the Hellenic League but lost its step 7 status after the 2011–12 season. The Thames Valley Premier Football League is a football competition based in England. It has a total of five divisions – the Premier Division, then Divisions One to Four. It was founded in 1989 as the Reading Senior League, as a merger of the two leagues in the town – Reading & District League and the Reading Combination Leagues.
