Tantric (album)
''Tantric'' is the debut album of American rock band of the same name. It was released February 13, 2001, and debuted at No. 193 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album would eventually peak at No. 71 and was certified gold by the RIAA on November 30, 2001. The album released "Breakdown" as the lead single, and the follow-up singles " Astounded" and "Mourning". Background and recording In November 1998, after a turbulent relationship on the road, Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest, and Matt Taul were fired from the band Days of the New. The day they were fired, the three were cutting instrumental demos for what would become songs on ''Tantric''. However, in the meantime, Whitener, Vest, and Taul would have to survive through low-wage jobs. In March 1999, singer Hugo Ferreira moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and within their first practice session together the group began developing songs. The group was founded in 1998 by Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest and Matt Taul after they left Days of the New, and joined forces with vocalist Hugo Ferreira. Ferreira is the only remaining member of the band from the original lineup. The band's most recent release, their 8th full-length album " The Sum Of All Things", was released July 23, 2021, via Cleopatra Records. Creed (band)
Creed was an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida, formed in 1994. For most of its existence, the band consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist and vocalist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. Creed released two studio albums, ''My Own Prison'' in 1997 and ''Human Clay'' in 1999, before Marshall left the band in 2000. The band's third album, ''Weathered'', was released in 2001, with Tremonti on bass guitar. Creed disbanded in 2004; Stapp pursued a solo career while Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips founded the band Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy. In 2009, Creed reunited for a fourth album, '' Full Circle'', then toured until 2012. ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' is an American late-night talk show hosted by Jay Leno that first aired from May 25, 1992, to May 29, 2009. It resumed production on March 1, 2010 and ended on February 6, 2014. The fourth incarnation of the ''Tonight Show'' franchise debuted on May 25, 1992, three days after Johnny Carson's retirement as host of the program. The program originated from NBC Studios in Burbank, California, and was broadcast Monday through Friday at 11:35p.m. in the Eastern and Pacific time zones (10:35p.m. Central/Mountain time). Unlike Carson or his predecessor Jack Paar, Leno only once used a guest host, preferring to host the series in person. Rolling Rock Town Fair
The Rolling Rock Town Fair was an annual alternative rock music festival and tour from 2000 to 2005 sponsored by Rolling Rock beer of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The event was created and produced by Executive Producer, Andrew Cohen and Darin Wolf, then Director of Marketing for Rolling Rock. Starting on August 5, 2000, the event featured such groups as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Moby, and Fuel. The August 4, 2001 lineup featured the Stone Temple Pilots, Live, Deftones, Incubus, Staind, Oleander, U.P.O., Tantric and Throe (Boston, MA). The July 27, 2002 show included Godsmack, Outkast, Nickelback, P.O.D., Alien Ant Farm, Sevendust, Default, Injected, and Tommy Lee. Alien Ant Farm cancelled Rolling Rock Town Fair 2002 following their bus accident. Tommy Lee was the replacement for them. Beautiful Creatures (sometimes abbreviated as BC) are an American hard rock band formed in 1999 by guitarist DJ Ashba and singer Joe Lesté of Bang Tango. The group's current lineup is composed of Lesté (lead vocals), Alex Grossi (lead guitar), Anthony Focx (rhythm guitar), Kenny Kweens (bass) and Timmy Russell (drums). Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California, USA. Its name is derived from the poisonous flowering shrub oleander, which line the highways of Northern California. In their nine years of activity, the band released four studio albums under various record labels. Their most successful effort, 1999's ''February Son'', includes the hit single "Why I'm Here." Oleander went on official hiatus after the release and promotion of their third album, '' Joyride'', in 2004.
