Tannochside is a settlement approximately south-east of Glasgow, Scotland. Although historically considered part of Uddingston, it lies within a separate local authority area: Tannochside is contained within the boundaries of North Lanarkshire council (situated between the Birkenshaw and Viewpark neighbourhoods in the Thorniewood ward), whereas the original village of Uddingston is in South Lanarkshire. Uddingston Grammar School
Uddingston Grammar School is a mainstream state school, The school is located in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is one of 17 secondary schools operated by South Lanarkshire Council. Its motto is 'Virtute Crescam' which means 'May I grow in moral excellence'. The school was opened in August 1884, with its buildings located next to Uddingston railway station. M8 Motorway (Scotland)
The M8 is the busiest motorway in Scotland and one of the busiest in the United Kingdom. Motherwell
Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. Holy Cross High School is a Catholic High School in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, in Scotland. History The original site on Muir Street started out as St Mary's Primary in the 1930s and became Holy Cross High School in the 1950s using the original St Mary's building and some prefabricated wooden buildings. External buildings were used for Art teaching. The main stone built building housed the Rector's office and the main staff rooms along with Classics, English, Maths and Physical Education departments. The wooden buildings were demolished in the early 1970s to make way for the concrete and steel prefabricated buildings that formed the rest of the site and were built between 1970 and 1971. A water tower is an elevated structure supporting a water tank constructed at a height sufficient to pressurize a water distribution system, distribution system for potable water, and to provide emergency storage for fire protection.
