Tanner Sportwaffen
Tanner Sportwaffen AG is a Swiss firearms manufacturer based in Fulenbach, Switzerland. The company was founded in 1955 by André Tanner, and is known for having produced bolt-action rifles for shooters at the top level within CISM and ISSF shooting for a number of years. On 12 September 2019, the successful coach Rolf Denzler took over the company from the previous owner Hildegard Tanner. A firearm is any type of gun designed to be readily carried and used by an individual. The term is legally defined further in different countries (see Legal definitions). Bolt-action
Bolt-action is a type of manual firearm action that is operated by ''directly'' manipulating the bolt via a bolt handle, which is most commonly placed on the right-hand side of the weapon (as most users are right-handed). Most bolt-action firearms use a rotating bolt design, where the handle must first be rotated upward to unlock the bolt from the receiver, then pulled back to open the breech and allowing any spent cartridge case to be extracted and ejected. This also cocks the striker within the bolt (either on opening or closing of the bolt depending on the gun design) and engages it against the sear. When the bolt is returned to the forward position, a new cartridge (if available) is pushed out of the magazine and into the barrel chamber, and finally the breech is closed tight by rotating the handle down so the bolt head relocks on the receiver. 300 M Rifle Three Positions
300 m rifle three positions (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an ISSF shooting event, involving shooting 40 shots each from the prone, the standing and the kneeling positions. Men and women both shoot the same number of shots, though previously women only shot half the course - or 20 shots in each position. Originally there had been champions declared in each position based on the results of the 40 shots in the three position match. A special 300 metre rifle prone match was added in 1982 however, after a pattern from the so-called English Match. After 1990, no World Championship medals have been awarded in the standing or kneeling position. Bleiker is a Swiss manufacturer of bolt-action rifles aimed solely for use in ISSF target shooting. Unlike their larger competitors (e.g. J. G. Anschütz or Feinwerkbau), Bleiker has a narrow product range with no hunting line, and no entry level or intermediate models in their target line. Grünig + Elmiger AG (G&E) is a Swiss firearms manufacturer that produces bolt-action rifles with a main focus on CISM and ISSF shooting, which are designed to be competitive at the World Cup and Olympic level. G&E firearms can be delivered with or without a stock.
