Tanner Fritz
Tanner Fritz (born August 20, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is currently under contract with HC Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career Amateur Fritz played for the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for four years. While playing with the Storm, he graduated from Grande Prairie St. Joseph High School in 2009 and was named the 2011 AJHL MVP after leading the team in points and ranking fourth in the league. He then attended Ohio State University, and played for the Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey team. Fritz stated that he became interested in Ohio State after his cousin, Daymen Rycroft, began his freshman season there. While majoring in sport industry, Fritz played 34 games in his freshman season. He scored his first collegiate goal on November 5, 2011, in a 2–0 win over Alabama-Huntsville. In his sophomore year, Fritz played in 40 games and set new career highs with 37 points. Grande Prairie
Grande Prairie is a city in northwest Alberta, Canada within the southern portion of an area known as Peace River Country. It is located at the intersection of Highway 43 (part of the CANAMEX Corridor) and Highway 40 (the Bighorn Highway), approximately northwest of Edmonton. 2015–16 ECHL Season
The 2015–16 ECHL season was the 28th season of the ECHL. The regular season schedule ran from October 16, 2015 to April 9, 2016 with the Kelly Cup playoffs to follow. Twenty-eight teams in 21 states and one Canadian province each played a 72-game schedule. The league alignment was significantly altered before the season when the American Hockey League announced the formation of a Pacific Division on January 30, 2015 displacing the ECHL teams that had been in California markets. Bridgeport Islanders
The Bridgeport Islanders (previously known as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers) are a professional ice hockey team playing in the American Hockey League (AHL). They are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, who own the franchise. Hartford Wolf Pack
The Hartford Wolf Pack are a professional ice hockey team based in Hartford, Connecticut. A member of the American Hockey League (AHL), they play their home games at the XL Center. The team was established in 1926 as the Providence Reds. After a series of relocations, the team moved to Hartford in 1997 as the Hartford Wolf Pack. It is one of the oldest professional hockey franchises in existence, and the oldest continuously operating minor league hockey franchise in North America.
