Tankara
Tankara is a town in Morbi district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is situated on the Demi River and on Rajkot-Morbi Highway, 20 kilometres from Morbi, 40 kilometres from Rajkot, and 80 kilometres from Jamnagar. Tankara is considered a holy city to Arya Samajis because it is the birthplace of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, founder of the Arya Samaj, who was born on 12 February 1824. Swami Dayananda Saraswati
Dayanand Saraswati () (born Mool Shankar Tiwari; 2 February 1824 – 30 October 1883) also known as Maharshi Dayanand is an Indian philosopher, social leader and founder of the Arya Samaj, a Hindu reform movement. His Magnum Opus is the book Satyarth Prakash which has remained a highly influential text on the Philosophy of the Vedas and clarifications of various ideas and duties of Human Beings. Saurashtra, also known as Sorath or Kathiawar, is a peninsular region of Gujarat, India, located on the Arabian Sea coast.
