Tanjiro Kamado
is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Koyoharu Gotouge's manga ''Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba''. Tanjiro goes on a quest to restore the humanity of his sister, Nezuko, who was turned into a demon after his family was killed by Muzan Kibutsuji following an attack that resulted in the death of his other relatives. After an encounter with Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer, Tanjiro is recruited by Giyu to also become a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and avenge his family. Besides Ufotable's ''Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba'' anime adaptation, Tanjiro has also appeared in a light novel that acts as a prequel to the manga. Gotouge created Tanjiro following a suggestion from their editor of having a bright main character who would stand out in his dark narrative. Kimetsu No Yaiba
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a demon slayer after his family was slaughtered and his younger sister, Nezuko, turned into a demon. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 ''tankōbon'' volumes. Rurouni Kenshin
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The story begins during the 11th year of the Meiji period in Japan (1878) and follows a former assassin from the Bakumatsu, known as Hitokiri Battosai. After his work against the bakufu, Hitokiri Battosai disappears to become Himura Kenshin: a wandering swordsman who protects the people of Japan with a vow never to take another life. Watsuki wrote the series upon his desire to make a ''shōnen'' manga different from the other ones that were published at the time, with Kenshin being a former assassin and the story taking a more serious tone as it continued. Hanafuda
are a style of Japanese playing cards. They are typically smaller than Western playing cards, only , but thicker and stiffer. On the face of each card is a depiction of plants, ''tanzaku'' (短冊), animals, birds, or man-made objects. One single card depicts a human. The back side is usually plain, without a pattern or design of any kind, and traditionally coloured either red or black. Hanafuda are used to play a variety of games including ''Koi-Koi'' and ''Hachi-Hachi''. In Korea, hanafuda are known as ''Hwatu'' (Korean: 화투, Hanja: , "battle of flowers") and made of plastic with a textured back side. Giyu Tomioka
This is a list of characters of the manga series ''Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba''. Main characters Tanjiro Kamado : : is the oldest son of a charcoal trader.
