Tanha Ansari
Tanha Ansari (born Hassan Ali Ansari; 1914 1969) was a Kashmiri poet and school teacher. He wrote in Urdu, Kashmiri, Arabic and Persian languages. He is primarily known for his rebellion poetry against Dogra rule in Jammu and Kashmir princely state, however his work went unnoticed until 1947. After the partition of the Indian subcontinent, he actively participated in Kashmir freedom movement through his writings. In 1960, he became the recipient of an uncertain National award for the best teacher of the Jammu and Kashmir. It was presented by the former Indian president, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He also worked for local newspapers such as ''Kehkashaan'', ''Kong Posh'', ''Gulrez'', ''Al-Irshaad'', ''Hamara Adab'', ''Aajkal'' and ''Taameer''. Jammu And Kashmir (princely State)
Jammu and Kashmir, officially known as the Princely State of Kashmir and Jammu, was a princely state during the Company rule in India from 1757 to 1858 as well as the British Raj in India from 1846 to 1952. The princely state was created after the First Anglo-Sikh War, from the territories that had earlier been in the Sikh Empire. At the time of the partition of India and the political integration of India, Hari Singh, the ruler of the state, delayed making a decision about the future of his state. However, an uprising in the western districts of the state followed by an attack by raiders from the neighbouring Northwest Frontier Province, supported by Pakistan, forced his hand. Magam is a tehsil in central Kashmir's Beerwah sub-district. Rekhta is an Indian literary web portal owned by the Rekhta Foundation, a nonprofit and non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of the Urdu literature in South Asia. Sopore
Sopore, known as Suyyapur in antiquity, is a city in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is north-west of Srinagar, and north-east from the city of Baramulla. Sopore Town has Asia's second largest fruit mandi (wholesale market). It is also known as the Apple Town of Kashmir. Apart from fruit mandi, Sopore is home to one of the Asia's largest freshwater lakes, Wular Lake.
