Tanfoglio Combat
The Tanfoglio Combat or Standard, also known as T(A)95 or EAA Witness Steel, is a modified clone of the Czech CZ-75/ CZ-85 pistol. It is made in Gardone Val Trompia near Brescia, Italy by Fratelli Tanfoglio S.N.C. Design details The Tanfoglio Combat/Standard models are evolved copies of the famous CZ-75 pistol design, with manufacturing improvements. Tanfoglio introduced the firing pin block before CZ, and its operation is different from what is employed in modern CZs. The firing pin block is kept in an upwards position, blocking the firing pin until the trigger is pulled. This causes the pin to fall, allowing the firing pin to move. As a result, the overall trigger operation is improved by the block (the CZ design actively pushes the block out of the way when the trigger is pulled, increasing overall weight to the pull). The Tanfoglio Force, also known as Force 99, Force 2002, EAA Witness Polymer or EAA Witness P-Carry, is a modified clone of the Czech CZ-75/ CZ-85 semi-automatic pistol. It is made in Gardone Val Trompia near Brescia, Italy by Fratelli Tanfoglio S.N.C. The Tanfoglio Force polymer frame model was introduced in 1997, while the Force 99 model with a redesigned frame appeared two years later, in 1999. The pistols are imported into the United States by European American Armory Corporation (EAA) and called the "Witness Polymer" (Force) and "Witness Polymer P" (Force 99). Tanfoglio GT27
The Tanfoglio GT27 is a .25 ACP caliber, blowback (arms), blow-back operated, single-action, 7 round Magazine (firearms), magazine fed single action handgun manufactured in Italy by Tanfoglio. It is similar to the Beretta 950 Jetfire in that it has an open slide. The "GT" lines of pistols was founded 1962. The pistol was widely exported under a variety of brand labels, including Titan and Targa. Following the Gun Control Act of 1968 in the United States, which limited imports of compact foreign pistols, GT27 parts were imported and assembled, by Excam, Inc. of Hialeah Florida and later F.I.E of Hialeah Florida, onto cheaper Zamak frames cast in the United States, replacing the earlier steel frames. Metallic silhouette shooting is a group of target shooting disciplines that involves shooting at steel targets representing game animals at varying distances, seeking to knock the metal target over. Metallic silhouette is shot with large bore rifles fired freehand without support out to 500 meters, and with large bore handguns from the prone position with only body support out to 200 meters. Competitions are also held with airguns and black-powder firearms. A related genre is shot with bow and arrow, the metal targets being replaced with cardboard or foam.
