Tanel Kurbas
Tanel Kurbas (born 8 May 1988) is an Estonian professional basketball player for BC Kalev, Kalev/Cramo of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga. Standing at 1.97 m (6 ft 6 in), he plays at the shooting guard and small forward positions. He also represents the Estonia men's national basketball team, Estonian national basketball team internationally. Professional career Kurbas began playing basketball with Tiit Sokk's basketball school. He made his Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) debut in the 2005–06 KML season, 2005–06 season with Audentes/Noortekoondis, Noortekoondis/Audentes. In 2006, he joined BC Nybit, Dalkia/Nybit. In 2008, Kurbas signed for BC Kalev, Kalev. He won his first Estonian Championship in the 2008–09 KML season, 2008–09 season. Kurbas averaged 8.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. 2017–18 Slovak Basketball League
The 2017–18 Slovak Basketball League season was the 26th season of the top-tier basketball competition in Slovakia. Inter Bratislava was the defending champion, but was eliminated in the semifinals. Levickí Patrioti won their second league. Competition format Ten teams joined the regular season, consisted in playing against each other four times home-and-away in double a round-robin format. The eight first qualified teams advance to the playoffs. Teams Lučenec and SPU Nitra did not continue in the Extraliga. Žilina, champion of the 1.Liga, replaced them. Regular season Playoffs Seeded teams played games 1, 3, 5 and 7 at home. Quarterfinals were played in a best-of-five games format while semifinals and final with a best-of-seven one. EuroBasket 2015
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. The next five teams (, , , and the ) advanced to the World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. and later qualified due to Serbia and Italy hosting two of the Olympic qualifying tournaments while also qualified as an invitee. The 2005–06 SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 15th season of the Estonian basketball league and the second under the title sponsorship of SEB. Including the competition's previous incarnations, this was the 81st season of the Estonian men's basketball league. Tiit Sokk (born 15 November 1964) is a retired Estonian professional basketball player and current coach. Often cited as one of the very best European point guards of his generation, he is widely recognized as the greatest Estonian basketball player in history. The Estonia men's national basketball team ( et, Eesti korvpallikoondis) represents Estonia in international basketball matches. They are controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association.
