Tamás Kenderesi
Tamás Kenderesi (; born 13 December 1996) is a Hungarian competitive swimmer who specializes in butterfly. He is an Olympics and European Championships bronze medalist, and Youth Olympics gold medalist swimmer. He was born in Bonyhad, but his family is from Aparhant in Tolna county. His mother is a teacher, his father is a toolmaker/entrepreneur. Kenderesi is the oldest child with 3 younger brothers. He started swimming in Pecs under coach, Imre Tari. His current club is the Pecsi Sport Nonprofit. Kenderesi is studying at the University of Pecs with a major in coaching. After his swimming career ends he wants to be a swimming coach and be as successful as in swimming. Career In 2014 he won a gold medal in the 200 meter butterfly on the European Junior Swimming Championships, in Dordrecht. Butterfly Stroke
The butterfly (colloquially shortened to fly) is a List of swimming styles, swimming stroke swum on the chest, with both arms moving symmetrically, accompanied by the butterfly kick (also known as the "dolphin kick"). While other styles like the breaststroke, front crawl, or backstroke can be swum adequately by beginners, the butterfly is a more difficult stroke that requires good technique as well as strong muscles. It is the newest swimming (sport), swimming style swum in competition, first swum in 1933 and originating out of the breaststroke. Speed and ergonomics The peak speed of the butterfly is faster than that of the front crawl due to the synchronous pull/push with both arms and legs, which is done quickly. Swimming At The 2014 Summer Youth Olympics
Swimming at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 17 to 22 August at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center in Nanjing, China. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 8 athletes, 4 per each gender and 2 per each event. As hosts, China is given the maximum quota and 112 places, 56 per each gender will be decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 280 places, 140 per each gender qualified by achieving the Qualifying Standard Time (“A standard” allows 2 athletes in an event while the “B standard” allows 1 athlete in an event) and being among the top 140 eligible athletes in the FINA Points Table. Also only the 16 nations with the most FINA points after the 2013 World Aquatics Championships will be allowed to qualify the maximum quota. The Hungarian Order of Merit ( hu, Magyar Érdemrend) is the fourth highest State Order of Hungary. Founded in 1991, the order is a revival of an original order founded in 1946 and abolished in 1949. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay.
