Tamaz Chiladze
Tamaz Chiladze ( ka, თამაზ ჭილაძე; 5 March 1931 – 28 September 2018) was a Georgian writer, dramatist and poet. He was the elder brother of Georgian writer Otar Chiladze. Biography Chiladze was born to the family of an economist and a writer in 1931 in Signagi, Georgia. He graduated from the Department of Philology of Tbilisi State University in 1954. In the same year, Chiladze published his first collection of poems. ''Ciskari'' magazine printed his first story, ''Taking the Walk with the Pony Phaeton''. In 1965, his play ''The Aquarium'' was staged at the Rustaveli Theater. He had since been recognized as the author of the anthology of Georgian classical dramaturgy. According to the author, the first critic of his writings was his mother, who was a poet herself. Works and awards Chiladze's works have been translated into different languages. The River Thames ( ), known alternatively in parts as the River Isis, is a river that flows through southern England including London. Tamaz Gelashvili ( ka, თამაზ გელაშვილი; born 8 April 1978) is a chess grandmaster from Georgia. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1999. His highest FIDE rating has been 2623, achieved in October 2007. His national ranking is fourth and he has played for his country at several Olympiads. In 2001 he tied for 1st with Yannick Pelletier, Mark Hebden and Vladimir Tukmakov in the 9th Neuchâtel Open and in 2006 won the Acropolis International tournament in Athens. Tamaz Vashakidze (April 14, 1961, in Tbilisi) is an artist (People's Artist of Georgia), premier dancer of the State Georgian Ballet, choreographer, holder of the Order of Honor of Georgia (2001), founder and awardee of the Chabukiani-Balanchine International Festival of Ballet Art, founder of the New Georgian Ballet Theatre of Modern Dance, holder of Special Award of Balanchine's Family, and founder of the Foundation "Chabukiani-Balanchine".
