Josh Dies
Joshua S. Porter, better known by his stage name Josh Dies (born June 12, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, musician and novelist. Porter is widely known as the vocalist and songwriter for the band Showbread. Music career In 1997, Joshua Porter joined his brother Patrick as part of the band Showbread, which became a full-time international touring act in 2002. In 2004, following several independent albums, Showbread released '' No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical'' through Tooth & Nail Records. The band released several more albums and went through several lineup changes; Porter has been the lead singer and songwriter through every incarnation. Showbread released one final album, ''Showbread is Showdead'', before disbanding in 2016. Porter and other members of the band went on to form the worship group Church of Agony and the synth-punk trio The Bell Jar. Showbread is an American Christian hardcore band formed in Guyton, Georgia, in 1997. The group has gone through numerous lineup changes since its initial formation, but maintains its two core members, Josh Dies and Patrick Porter. The group built an underground fanbase in the late 1990s and early 2000s through word-of-mouth exposure and frequent touring. In 2004, the band signed with Tooth & Nail Records and released their major-label debut, ''No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical''. In 2010, the band left Tooth & Nail and joined Come&Live!, an independent record label that releases music via free downloads. Throughout their career, the band has been subject to much controversy among Christian listeners, over their lyrical themes and personal lifestyles. Sullivan is an American rock band from Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. Sullivan was involved in To Write Love on Her Arms. History Sullivan came together as a trio in 2001. In 2002 they recorded and released ''Count the Time in Quarter Tones'' on Forsaken/Tribunal Records. The EP sold well and extensive touring followed.
