Tallapaka Annamacharya (Telugu : తాళ్ళపాక అన్నమాచార్య) (IAST: taḷḷapāka annamācārya; 22 May 1408 – 4 April 1503), also popularly known as Annamayya, was a 15th-century Hindu saint and the earliest known Indian musician to compose songs called ''sankirtanas'' in praise of the Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu. The musical form of the keertana songs that he composed, which are still popular among Carnatic music concert artists, have strongly influenced the structure of Carnatic music compositions. Tallapaka Tirumalamma or Timmakka ( te, తాళ్ళపాక తిరుమలమ్మ) (15th century) was a Telugu poet who wrote ''Subhadra Kalyanam'' in Telugu. She was wife of singer-poet Annamacharya and was popularly known as Timmakka. Biography Timmakka was born into a Brahmin's family. She is considered as the first Telugu woman poet.
