George Sherman
George Sherman (July 14, 1908 – March 15, 1991) was an American film director and producer of low-budget Western films. One obituary said his "credits rival in number those of anyone in the entertainment industry." Biography George Sherman was born in New York City on July 14, 1908. At age 14 he sailed aboard the SS ''Mongolia'' to Los Angeles, California, where he found work in the mail room at Warner Bros. studios via a film editor friend. Forrest Tucker
Forrest Meredith Tucker (February 12, 1919 – October 25, 1986) was an American actor in both movies and television who appeared in nearly a hundred films. Tucker worked as a vaudeville straight man at the age of fifteen. A mentor provided funds and contacts for a trip to California, where party hostess Cobina Wright persuaded guest Wesley Ruggles to give Tucker a screen test because of Tucker's photogenic good looks, thick wavy hair and height of six feet, five inches. Tucker was a sight reader who needed only one take and his film career started well despite a perception in most Hollywood studios that blond men were not photogenic. He enlisted in the Army during World War II. After twenty years spent mainly in Westerns and action roles, he returned to his roots, showing versatility as a comedic and stage musical actor. Eugenia Lincoln "Jinx" Falkenburg (January 21, 1919 – August 27, 2003) was an American actress and model. She married journalist and publicist Tex McCrary in 1945.Autobiography: Jinx, Jinx Falkenburg, Duell, Sloan and Pearce (1951) Known as "Tex and Jinx", the couple pioneered and popularized the talk show format, first on radio and then in the early days of television. Henry Freulich
Henry Freulich (April 14, 1906 – December 4, 1985) was an American cinematographer for 31 years. He was married to the actress Kay Harris. Early life and career Freulich was born in New York City, the son of photographer Jacob "Jack" Freulich, 1880-1936. He began his career as a cameraman with Lon Chaney's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'' in 1922. While at Columbia Pictures in 1934, he was cinematographer for ''It Happened One Night'' with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. He worked on over a hundred Three Stooges films. In 1963, he shot a record (which he shared with Harry Neumann) 11 films. He worked in television later in his career. His career continued until 1969. Death Freulich died in Los Angeles, California, on December 4, 1985. James Sweeney (1901–1957) was an American film editor. Sweeney was born in Illinois and started his Hollywood career in 1929. After starting as a film editor for Columbia, including a number of Three Stooges short subjects, Sweeney spent most of the rest of his career on Columbia features and programmers.
