Henry Freulich
Henry Freulich (April 14, 1906 – December 4, 1985) was an American cinematographer for 31 years. He was married to the actress Kay Harris. Early life and career Freulich was born in New York City, the son of photographer Jacob "Jack" Freulich, 1880-1936. He began his career as a cameraman with Lon Chaney's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'' in 1922. While at Columbia Pictures in 1934, he was cinematographer for ''It Happened One Night'' with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. He worked on over a hundred Three Stooges films. In 1963, he shot a record (which he shared with Harry Neumann) 11 films. He worked in television later in his career. His career continued until 1969. Death Freulich died in Los Angeles, California, on December 4, 1985. Harry Neumann
Harry C. Neumann (sometimes billed as Harry Neuman, Harry Newman, or Harry Newmann; February 11, 1891 – January 14, 1971) of Chicago, Illinois, was a Hollywood cinematographer whose career spanned over forty years, including work on some 350 productions in a wide variety of genres, with much of his work being in Westerns (including several John Wayne films), and gangster films. He began working as a cinematographer or director of photography in 1918, the Golden Age of the silent film era; his last film was the 1959 science fiction- horror film, ''The Wasp Woman''. Over the course of his career, he also worked on early attempts at a 3-D film, including William Cameron Menzies' last film, '' The Maze''. Neumann also did cinematography for episodes of TV series, including ''The Court of Last Resort'', ''The Adventures of Champion'', and ''Death Valley Days''. ''Good Girls Go to Paris'' is a 1939 American romantic comedy film starring Melvyn Douglas and Joan Blondell. Plot Jenny Swanson is a waitress in a small college town whose dream is to go to Paris by any means necessary. She confides her plan for a little gold-digging and blackmail to Ronald "Ronnie" Brooke, a professor on exchange from England. Brooke tries to dissuade her, telling her that "good girls go to Paris, too." Her first attempt ends badly. ''Meet Nero Wolfe'' is a 1936 mystery film based on the 1934 novel '' Fer-de-Lance'', written by Rex Stout. Set in New York, the story introduced the detective genius Nero Wolfe ( Edward Arnold) and his assistant Archie Goodwin (Lionel Stander). The partnership endured through 33 novels and 39 short stories written by Stout, but continued in only one more film for Columbia Pictures.
