Talia Ryder
Talia Ryder (born August 16, 2002) is an American stage and film actress. In 2015, she had her breakout role as Hortensia in the Broadway musical ''Matilda the Musical''. She made her feature film debut in 2020 as Skylar, opposite Sidney Flanigan, in the critically acclaimed indie film ''Never Rarely Sometimes Always'', which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She also starred as Tessa in Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of '' West Side Story.'' (2021). In 2021, she also had a starring role in Olivia Rodrigo's music video for "Deja Vu". In 2022, she starred as Clare in the Netflix film '' Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between'' and as Gabbi Broussard in the Netflix film ''Do Revenge''. 70th Berlin International Film Festival
The 70th annual Berlin International Film Festival took place from 20 February to 1 March 2020. It was the first under the leadership of new Berlin Film Festival heads, business administration director Mariette Rissenbeek and artistic director Carlo Chatrian. ''How to Defend Yourself'' is a 2019 play by Liliana Padilla. The play was produced by the Actors Theatre of Louisville in 2019 and Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago in 2020. It premiered Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop in 2023. The play was the winner of the 2019 Yale Drama Series Prize. The play takes place in a college gym, where sorority leader Brandi leads a self-defense workshop, organized in response to the recent sexual assault of sorority sister Susannah.
