Tales Of The Gun
''Tales of the Gun'' is a television series that broadcast on the History (American TV channel), History Channel for one season in 1998. It featured the history of firearms. The usual episode format included interviews of historians and people who used the featured weapon, explanations of how the weapons were made, and demonstrations on a shooting range. The series narrator for the American version was Thom Pinto, a veteran voice actor. History (formerly The History Channel from January 1, 1995 to February 15, 2008, stylized as HISTORY) is an American pay television television network, network and flagship channel owned by A&E Networks, a joint venture between Hearst Communications and the The Walt Disney Company, Disney General Entertainment Content division of the Walt Disney Company. American Civil War

A machine pistol is an autoloading pistol capable of fully automatic fire. The term can also be used to describe a stockless handgun-style submachine gun. The term is a calque of ''Maschinenpistole'', the German word for submachine guns. Mauser, originally Königlich Württembergische Gewehrfabrik ("Royal Württemberg Rifle Factory"), was a German arms manufacturer.
