Talatu Yohanna (born November 11, 1973) is an administrator and politician. She was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives where she represented Demsa/ Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency in Adamawa State. __TOC__ Career Yohanna started working as an administrator in public business, and later moved into politics where she has served as a women's leader, supervisory councilor, special assistant and special adviser to the Governor of Adamawa State. She has also served as a Commissioner for Trade and Cooperative in Adamawa State. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. This marked the first time in Nigerian history that an opposition party unseated a governing party and power was transferred peacefully. Numan, Nigeria
Numan, also known as Nomweh (meaning 'hilltop'), is a town and a Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Nigeria. It is a port town that lies on the confluence of Benue River and Gongola River. The predominant ethnic group in the town are the Bwatiye (Bachama) people who have a reputation of being unconquered warriors in all their history. Lamurde is a town and Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria inhabited predominantly by the Bwatiye (Bachama) people. History The Lamurde Local Government was established on December 14, 1996, from the local government of Numan. Numerous local government areas in the state shares borders with it, including Taraba state to the west, Guyuk and Shelleng local government areas to the east, Gombe State to the north, and Numan local government to the south. The local government area is 1098 square kilometers in size, and it is located roughly between latitudes 10 24" west and 12 45" east, as well as 90 39" north and 90 11" south. Adamawa State
