Takumi Kanaya
Takumi Kanaya ( ja, 金谷拓実, born 23 May 1998) is a Japanese professional golfer. He had an exceptionally successful amateur career and was world ranked number 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks. He also won a professional event on the 2019 Japan Golf Tour while still an amateur. Amateur career Kanaya had a successful amateur career, winning the 2015 Japan Amateur Championship and the 2018 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. The latter gave him entry to the Masters and the Open Championship in 2019. He played in a number of representative matches, including the 2018 Eisenhower Trophy where he had the second best individual score. 2020–21 Japan Golf Tour
The 2020–21 Japan Golf Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments organised by the Japan Golf Tour Organization. The 2020 season was originally scheduled to be played from 16 January to 6 December 2020, and comprised 25 official money events, mostly in Japan. Other than the four majors, which are played outside Japan, there was one event in Singapore and one event in South Korea; the SMBC Singapore Open which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour, and the Shinhan Donghae Open which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Korean Tour. Most of the scheduled tournaments were cancelled during 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. Shaun Patrick Norris (born 14 May 1982) is a South African professional golfer. Professional career Norris plays on the Sunshine Tour where he has won twice. He won the inaugural Africa Open in 2008 and the Nashua Masters in 2011. He also began playing on the European Tour in 2011 after graduating from qualifying school. OWGR
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2022, 23 tours factored into the world rankings.
