Kanji
are the logographic Chinese characters taken from the Chinese family of scripts, Chinese script and used in the writing of Japanese language, Japanese. They were made a major part of the Japanese writing system during the time of Old Japanese and are still used, along with the subsequently-derived syllabic scripts of ''hiragana'' and ''katakana''. Takuji Hayata
is a retired Japanese gymnast. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, he won gold medals in the rings and team all-around events. Individually he finished eighth all around. At the 1970 World Championship he won a bronze medal at the horizontal bar, as well as a team gold. Later he became a coach and lead the Japanese team at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1978 World Championships. is a Japanese novelist. Ichikawa's bestsellers include (2003), (2003) and (2004). His works are also adapted for Japanese films such as ''Be with You'' (2004), ''Heavenly Forest'' (2006), and Japanese TV series ''14 Months'' (2003). Takuji Iwasaki
was a Japanese meteorologist, biologist, ethnologist historian. He was a meteorologist at the Ishigaki Weather Station, Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture. Initially, when weather forecasting was in its infancy, he had been badly criticized by local people when his forecast of a typhoon was incorrect. Nevertheless, his work as a meteorologist was better understood by locals later in his career, which endeared him to people. Other names Takuji was also known as 糸数原主人袋風荘主人,蝶仙、蝶翁. was a Japanese civil rights activist. In spite of social and legal barriers, he directly challenged three major barriers against Asians in the United States: citizenship, joining a profession, and owning land. Biography Yamashita was born in Yawatahama, Ehime, Shikoku, Japan. He immigrated to the United States in the 1890s and, aided by a photographic memory, graduated from Tacoma High School in two years before entering University of Washington law school's second graduating class.
