Takshashila Campus is one of the two campuses of Devi Ahilya University, Indore Indore () is the largest and most populous city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters of both Indore District and Indore Division. It is also considered as an education hub of the state and is the only city to ... (the other being Nalanda Campus). While Nalanda Campus hosts the administrative offices of the university, Takshashila Campus was created to provide space for more departments. Infrastructure The campus sprawls over a 200 acres. Separated by a National Highway, it is further divided into three portions. On one of these portions School of Pharmacy, DAVV is built, while the other has the Institute of Engineering Technology. Devi Ahilya University
Devi Ahilya University (informally abbreviated DAVV), formerly Indore University, is a State University. It was named after 'Ahilya Bai Holkar', the 18th century Queen and ruler of Indore, which was part of the Hindu Maratha Empire. Its jurisdiction was initially restricted to Indore city. Later on, its jurisdiction was extended to seven tribal-dominated districts of Indore division namely, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur and Barwani. It is thus catering to the educational needs of the most industrially developed district of Madhya Pradesh, Indore on one hand and to the seven tribal and rural backward districts of the State on the other. Institute Of Engineering Technology
The Institute of Engineering & Technology, DAVV commonly referred to as IET, or IET DAVV is the engineering school of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. It was founded as an autonomous institute in 1996. The college follows a self-financed model. The college is located near the university's Takshashila Campus on Khandwa Road in the south-east of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is an approved Institution by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Government of Madhya Pradesh and University Grants Commission (UGC). Before the establishment of the permanent campus of IIT Indore at Simrol, IET DAVV was used as the temporary campus for the future institute of national importance in the year 2009–10.
