"Taken" is a song by New Zealand band Stellar*, release as the second single from their second album, '' Magic Line'' (2001), in January 2002. It became the band's last top-10 single in New Zealand, reaching number six. The single includes a dance remix of "All It Takes" by former Nine Inch Nails member Charlie Clouser as well as an acoustic version of the title track, recorded at the now defunct Helen Young Studios in December 2001. Stellar (New Zealand Band)
Stellar (stylised stellar*) is a New Zealand pop/rock band led by vocalist Boh Runga, sister of acclaimed recording artist Bic Runga. They have had four RIANZ top 10 singles (the highest being " Every Girl" at #3) and two No. 1 albums. The band's signature song is "Violent", which at the 2000 New Zealand Music Awards won the Single of the Year award, as well as winning Runga an award for best Songwriter. The band won seven awards, among them the Best Album award for their debut, '' Mix''. This was followed up by 2001's '' Magic Line'' and 2006's '' Something Like Strangers''. Bob Ludwig
Robert C. Ludwig (born c. 1945) is an American mastering engineer. He has mastered recordings on all the major recording formats for all the major record labels, and on projects by more than 1,300 artists including Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk resulting in over 3,000 credits. Malcolm Welsford is a New Zealand Record Producer and is best known for his work with Shihad, The Feelers and Supergroove. Early career Welsford's professional recording career began in 1984 at a small largely unknown Studio called Frontier Studios, Wellington New Zealand. Charles Alexander Clouser (born June 28, 1963) is an American keyboardist, composer, record producer, and remixer. He worked with Trent Reznor for Nine Inch Nails from 1994 to 2000, and is a composer for film and television; among his credits are the score for the ''Saw'' franchise and ''American Horror Story''. ''Magic Line'' is the second studio album by New Zealand pop rock band Stellar*, released by Sony BMG on 21 October 2001 in New Zealand. When the album was released, it hit the #1 position on New Zealand's RIANZ albums charts in its first week. However, unlike its predecessor Mix on the charts it would quickly fall down, staying within the top 10 for only two more weeks. The album features a re-arranged version of the band's song "Sorry", which appeared on their 1999 single " Part of Me" as a B-side.
